Born August 16, 1963 at Mt. Holly, NJ. Son of Thomas Sickler, Sr. and the late Carolyn Craythorn (nee Guarnieri). Marty grew up in Beverly and attended Beverly City School.rnIn 1975 his family moved to Delran and he attended Delran Middle School. Marty graduated from Burlington County Vo-Tech High School in 1981, majoring in Auto Body Repair. Marty was a talented Body Man and painter. He had many friends, everyone knew Marty. In 1981 Marty worked full time as a Body Man at Mortland’s Auto Body in Riverside.rnMarty loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed Sunday family dinners at Mom’s house.rnIn his later years Martin sadly became addicted to alcohol and drugs. In spite of several attempts at rehab and in spite of all the support he received from his family and many caring friends, his addiction took over his life. Unable to work and hopelessly addicted, Marty’s health steadily declined, and on August 6, 2011 Martin died of liver failure. rnHe is survived by his father, Thomas B. Sickler, Sr., his brother Thomas B. Sickler, Jr., his step-father William Craythorn, Jr., step-brother William Craythorn, III, step-sister Terri Craythorn and his nieces and nephews: Lindsey Sickler, Holly Sickler and Brett Sickler.rnFuneral Services were held privately and Martin is now at rest with his mother Carolyn Craythorn. I loved Marty like a brother. In the last year of his life he spent alot of time with me here. He loved the Eagles, and he loved the snow….He never did drugs in front of me….He ate alot. I loved him, liver failure, NOPE maybe an accidental OD but not liver failure.
Marty was my first cousin and also my favorite cousin, and there does go a day when I don,t think about him, just want him to know that I loved him very much
