Although Stella spent her career with McMillan Publishing in Riverside, she brought home more than a paycheck. She loved to spoil her granddaughters with the many books she had access to. This early exposure to reading may well have been what inspired two of her grandchildren to enter the field of education. While she was always easy going, the only thing that got her riled up was good game of Bingo. And she was always ready to grab a deck of cards for some Crazy Eights or Rummy. rn Stella was originally from Philadelphia, but spent the majority of her life in Riverside. For the past ten years though, she was delighted to live at the Riverview Estates in Riverton. It wasn’t just because of the many friends she made there, it also allowed her to indulge in beauty treatments: she loved getting her hair and nails done. rn Stella is the wife of the late Charles. She is survived by her son John and his wife Joyce of Medford Lakes, her granddaughters: Renee Pontelandolfo (Carmen) of Marlton, Marlo Wallace of Erial, Alexis Dillich (Christopher) of Medford Lakes and Blake Gavlick (John) of Medford Lakes. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Brielle, Mattie and Cooper Pontelandolfo, Brody and Zane Dillich and Gracie and Thea Gavlick. And she was always close with her niece, Irene Wade (Joe) of Cherry Hill.rn Come celebrate Stella’s 96 wonderful years Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 at the Sweeney Funeral Home, where the service will be at 9:30. Interment to follow at Beverly National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Riverview Estates 303 Bank Ave. Riverton, NJ 08077. rn
