John Joseph Augustino

John Joseph Augustino

For entertainment John watched the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. When they disappointed him with strikes, fumbles and missed shots he fled to Atlantic City for solace. There he always beat the house. And when he won he sprang for dinner.rn John kept the John Patrick Publishing Agency in the black. Sales of calendars and church bulletins were his specialty. His retirement was a blow to the company.rn He was originally a Bridgeport guy, a graduate of Paulsboro High and East Tennessee State University. rn John was the first born of Charlotte (nee Bramble) and the late, John P. Augustino. He unmercifully teased his siblings: Anthony Wayne, Charlotte Bruzek, Bruce Charles, Judy Augustino, Gary Douglas and Nancy Dickerson and many loving nieces and nephews .rn A private celebration of his life will be held for his family only. rnDonations to: rnrnSons of Italy Foundation, 219 E. To the Augustino family,nMy deepest sympathy is extended to all of you. I remember John fondly from the days of our youth the back street kids and the front street kids playing games in the lots in Bridgeport.

My heart goes out to your entire family. My fond memories of John include conversations with him at Judy’s home as he sat in his favorite chair and as he attended each one of Isabella’s many performances over the years. May John always be with you in spirit. Thinking of you with love and prayers, Carlene

John was my uncle and my godfather, and was very much like a grandfather to me. He was the best man that could walk this earth. He had a kind heart and would give anything for anyone to be happy. When we were younger my uncle used to play jokes on us and tickle us. He swore for the life of him that he didn’t snore so my dad ,Gary, had video taped him to prove that he did. I loved my uncle more than words can discribe. They always say the good die young… And it is very true! I miss him so much, and there is nothing I wouldn’t do just to have one more moment with him, one more talk, one more hug, and one more I love you. But I know that one day.. It will happen, one day we will see each other again!
