Carroll “Carl” Kozianowski
When it came to Carl, a random act of kindness was anything but random. He was always fast to put the needs of others before his own. This may have been simply because he was such a people person. He enjoyed bowling, dancing and coaching Little League, but the camaraderie was as important as the event itself. Even when he went hunting it was always about spending time with other; he never even bothered to shoot anything. Anyone who worked alongside him during his 36 years at Hoeganaes in Cinnaminson can attest to both his work ethic and charismatic nature. Likewise, anyone at the Turner’s in Riverside can testify to his ability throwing a horseshoe; he and his son Tom were practically unbeatable.rn After proudly serving the Navy for two years he married Verna (nee Costa) of Delran. Their 62 years of marriage were blessed by their dear daughter Cynthia and sons: Gary, Thomas and Jeffrey, and again by their six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends whom the family would like to thank for their support. Carroll was the son of the late Frances and Stephan Kozianowski of Delran.rn Come celebrate Carroll’s 84 wonderful years (Mar. 23, 1928-Oct. 30, 2012) Friday from 9-10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 at Parish of the Resurrection (St. Casimir Site), Riverside. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 600 Highland Dr., Suite 624, Westampton, NJ 08060.rn

It was a pleasure sharing some final moments with Carl. He was truly blessed with longevity of life and longevity of marriage to his wonderful wife Verna. Sitting and sharing words of comfort, encouragement and prayer during his illness allow me the opportunity to meet and get to know a great man! In the saddness of the moment I find “Joy” in knowing he’s in God’s Hand relieved from the pain, illness, and trials of this life, and now enjoys eternity. Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning!!! May God bless the family with comfort and peace in the days ahead. I was absolutely shocked to learn of Carl’s passing. Verna, you gave him so much support. I always enjoyed my visits to your home, even though it was for professional service- you and Carl were truly a lovely couple and I will miss him. At least he is now at peace. and Verna- you can now get some rest and have time back for yourself.nMy thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
