George “Skip” Nathaniel Peacock, Jr.
George “Skip” Nathaniel Peacock, Jr., 62, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2013 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A longtime resident of Riverside, he graduated from JFK High School in Willingboro in 1969.
To say that Skip was a family man is an understatement. He was always more than happy to put them before himself. He was married to his best friend, Elizabeth “Betsy” Anne Peacock, for 24 years and together they raised a big family. When his children were young, he never missed any of their activities; he coached Little League and attended cheerleading events and dance recitals. In later years, he enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and attending their events as well. He took great pride in working on his home; his well-manicured lawn always a reflection of how he kept his life so neat and organized. Most recently Skip worked for ITW Covid in Cranbury, after spending many years in the medical packaging industry. When it was time for leisure he could be found rooting for the Yankees or Eagles and enjoying an ice cold Boost.
He is survived by his children: George “Toby” Peacock, III (Danielle) of New Egypt, Jeremy Peacock (Jamie) of Cinnaminson, Joseph Ringer (Tara) of Cinnaminson, Amanda Ringer of Palmyra and Rachel Peacock of Riverside. His life was again blessed by the addition of his 6 grandchildren: Christina, Nate, Grace, Jackson, Lauryn and Jameson. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Anne Peacock (Sinkleris), his father, George Nathaniel Peacock, Sr. and his mother, Mildred Virginia Peacock (Pilchard). Skip is also survived by his sisters, Jennifer Rhodes and Sherry White (Charles) and his brother, Mark Peacock (Bertha) along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Come celebrate his 62 wonderful years Monday, June 3, from 6 PM at the Dobbins United Methodist Church 330 Union Ave., Delanco, NJ 08075, where the service will be at 7:30 PM. Interment private. I am shocked and deeply saddened by Skip’s passing. He was very special to me. He was one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever known. The world is an emptier place without him. Skip, thank you for all the things you did for me. Rest in peace my friend.
Skip was held in high regard by many in the Quality field and Packaging industry and even higher still by those who understood his loyal belief that people (in heart and mind) were the most important consideration. My deepest regards to his well loved family.
My extended family will never be the same without you. You were a wonderful father and truly a role model!!! You blessed us with your presence and I can not wait to see you again one day. I’m glad your suffering is over and you are in a better place however it doesn’t make missing you any easier. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a FATHER to all your kids but especially to my brothers. I love you R.I.P.

Skip was a great friend to all of us at Modern Packaging. He even was able to talk me into becoming an ISO lead auditor. I will always miss him as will others.
I worked with Skip at Modern Packaging for many years and he was always a pleasure to be around. I know he fought a brave battle until the end and his courage is something that all of us can learn from as we face our own adversities in life. I know that Skip has been released from his suffering, but it is never easy to say good-bye to such a good and kind man. I feel privileged to have known Skip and my heartfelt condolences go out to his entire family in this time of sadness and loss.
I was truly saddended to hear of Skip’s passing. I was priviledged to have known and worked with Skip at Tolas Healthcare Packaging and always found him to be an honest and caring man. Whenever I had a Quality question, I knew I could count on Skip. He was proud of the work he did, but prouder still of his family. We have lost a good friend. My condolences to his family.
I was very sad the day Skip left Tolas Healthcare Packaging and am even more sad now. Skip was always a willing listener and teacher whenever a quality issue came up, but was even more so when we would chat about family and personal issues. He loved to point out who was who in the pictures on his desk and was obviously very proud of all of the members of his family. I know that he will be missed by all whom he touched.
Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Peacock at his home while I was in his son’s (Jeremy) wedding. All I can say was he made me feel like I was part of the family and I had know him for years. I could see he was a man who loved his family! My thoughts and prayers are with that family he so loved.
Amanda and Kurt, our thoughts and prayers are with you both along with your family in the recent passing of your Dad. In the days, weeks & months ahead, know that time does help, it has a way of healing … And all of those wonderful memories … you have to cherish forever!!
