She kept things neat, tidy and orderly at Friends Village in Woodstown, but more than that, she became a friend to all who lived there. Dorothy ran errands for many of the residents and even sent everyone postcards when she was on vacation. If you had a birthday you were sure to get one of her red velvet cakes. Family dinners weren’t complete until Dorothy arrived with her lemon butter. Her pantry was stocked with homemade cookies; her specialties were snickerdoodles and chocolate chip. Grandkids’ events were always priority one.
She was the wife of the late, Clarance and is survived by children, William (Chris), Richard (Casey) and Deborah Andrews (Chuck); 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and her siblings, Ruth Steedley and Mimi Barone. She was pre-deceased by her son, David and sisters, Clara Krape and Betty Lou Wiest and two brothers, Warren VanCulin and Thornton Tongue.
Come celebrate 86 great years Sunday noon to 12:45 at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where there will be a 1 p.m. service. Interment private. Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (cff.org) will be appreciated. Tell a great story about Dorothy at lifecelebrationstudio.com
