Elizabeth “Liz” Sparks
Though she was a refined lady, her roots were as a tomboy on the farm. Liz drove tractors when her feet could barely touch the peddles and as a young child she’d bump the trucks up in line at auction. Store bought vegetables were out of the question: she put up so much that she rented two lockers to house her inventory. Liz even made her own juices long before infomercials. She liked heading down to the shore but shunned the beach for fishing with her son in law. Liz kept her hands busy sewing and crocheting. She made everything from her kids’ dresses and christening outfits to three dimensional tablecloths and doilies. Her work was meticulous, she detested mistakes. Liz’s garden was a sight to behold, neighbors would stop by just to catch a peek. It was a 50/50 project: Liz would point where she wanted her plants, Rock would plant them.
A young man named Rock (Robert) had soured on blind dates, but a friend insisted that he meet Liz. He took no chances and spied on her. Having found her more than attractive they set out on what became a 54 year marriage. They were blessed with 4 children, Jane Lippincott (Richard), Karen Newman (Jeff), Kelly Moore (Joe), and the late Robert Steven Sparks and 5 grandchildren, Richard Lippincott, Kate DeMartini, Ryan Newman, Allyson Moore and Zachary Moore. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Helen Jane Ahern.
Come celebrate 74 great years Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio where there will be a service at 11. Interment Lake Park Cemetery. So many fond memories of Aunt Lizzie down the shore when I was a kid. She was loving and fun to be with.

I can’t express enoughy my deepesty sympathy to your entire family during this most difficult time. Liz always had a smile every time I saw her and was always willing to take the time to talk and say hello to everyone. I had the pleasure of working with her at Heritage’s Dairy and those memories will last with me forever. She was like a second mom to a lot of us and wa always making sure we were taken care of. May her memories fill your hears with forever lasting love and May God rest her soul eternally.

Liz — You were the “rock” of the family. Your fun laugh, your love of home and family was ever present to everyone. The girls will miss you so much but will have so many wonderful memories. She is at peace now and sharing with Bobby a new life of happiness.

Dear Mom mom, I love you so much! You are my best friend and the best Mom mom in the whole wide world. I’ll never forget how you took such great care of Tigger and me. I’ll miss having sleepovers with you. They were lots of fun! I’ll keep Toothie safe and snug at night. I’ll always remember your luvins and miss them forever!

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Aunt Liz we love you and will miss you. I’ll never forget all the Christmas Eve’s at Uncle Lou’s house with all the McCanns. Then the times mom and I would stop by and you girls would talk for hours and hours sometimes I didn’t think we would ever leave. And the camping trips with the Irish festivals. And there was the shore you always had us laughing and having just a good old time. You always could make me laugh and I will never forget you.
Liz impressed her mark on me at an early age. My love for her grew every day since then. When ever I came into town her house was my first stop. I loved that lady with all my heart. She helped shape who I am today.
Thank you for being so close to my mom who also held a special place in her heart for you. You and your family always made me feel welcomed and special.
Liz will live on in the essence of my being and continue to shape me through my remaining years on this earth. My love for her will not diminish with time. I wish nothing more then our paths to cross again in the after life. Light my way.
My memories of “Lizzy” are of sweet iced tea and summer veggies, sittin’ in the back yard around those spool tables, and her keeping an eye on the neighborhood! She always knew the comings and goings of everyone! My heart goes out to you Kelly, Karen, Janie and Mr. Sparks. May you find peace in your memories, and in the love of family and friends. <3

I’ve only know Lizzy for a short time at family party’s at Bill’s and Peggy’s. Lizzy was always smiling and cheerful with funny story. Lizzy will be in are prays and thoughts with love.

Although I haven’t seen Mrs. Sparks in a long time her infectious laughter is imprinted in my memory.
I also remember how much fun and life she brought to our home when she came to visit. She was always so gracious to my brother Jimmy and an amazing friend to both my parents for as long as I can remember. My deepest sympathy, prayers and love to all of you at this time.

We thank you for all you provide. We thank you for the time we had with Liz and the blessing we shared with her and the memories we made.
We come to you with heavy hearts and feelings of sadness. You have called our loved one, Liz, to your side. Only you decide when it is time to join you in the kingdom of glory…We know she is in a better place and her pain is gone. We know she is with Bobby and he is there to guide here through the gates of heaven. Bobby will be there to give her wings; witnessing her anointing by god. God you only call the ones you love; the servants that have earned their place at your side.
We need you to ease our pain; the loved ones left behind. Even though we know she is in a better place her earthly being is missed greatly. She was loved, revered, and respected tremendously by all. Words can’t explain the void left by her; she can’t be replaced. We pray the void and the pain diminish with time and our healing will start soon.
We pray the void will be filled with all of the great memories we have of Liz. We pray her kind spirit and loving soul will live on in the ones who knew and loved her.
Lord we especially pray for Rock; he has been a rock to Liz for so long…give him the strength to move through the sorrow, ease his pain and rally the family around to lift him up. They have been through so much together; it is time for everyone to be his rock. Grant them all the strength to support each other.
As we say good bye to Liz we know her spirit lives on amongst us. We can’t see it but we will feel it. She is there watching over us, guiding us as a mother and wife would. That thing we second guess, that idea that pops into our heads, the better way of doing something we didn’t consider is her whispering in our ears.
She smiles down at us; so proud of who we have become. So proud of the life she built and shared with all of her family and friends.
Oh and Bobby, even though you have been there longer, your mother will be in charge…Gosh Bobby put your clothes away…
