He had a place for everything and everything in its place; Paul was organized to a fault. He could lay his hands on his daughter’s 4th grade report card or a pharmaceutical script from the 70’s. His organizational skills most likely originated from his time in the Marines; he enlisted right out of high school. As an M.P. at the Pentagon he once protected Queen Elizabeth. Even though he lived in Delran he was always most at home with his feet in the sand, rod in hand. If it swam he tried to catch it, though the elusive Surf City striper always evaded him. It seems Paul was always in motion. In his woodshop he made his own Christmas presents, bird houses that fed half the birds in the area and even furniture. If your car was making a funny noise, Paul was the guy to see. His favorite pastime, however, was probably eating. His family spent many hours waiting for dessert while he finished his 3rd helping. If a volunteer was needed, look no further than Paul. He was active in the Boy Scouts from the time his son was in the Indian Guides. One of his life’s highlights was seeing his grandson, Sean, become an Eagle Scout. His earlier years found him working as a manager at McKnight Steel and Tube. Paul’s summer job at Acme earned him more than a paycheck. A young Bonnie Walton was attracted to the
tall, quiet Marine. Their 53 year marriage was blessed with three children: Paul (Kathy), Cathleen and Andrew; and three grandchildren: Sean, Erin and Madelyn. He is survived
by his sister, Doris and in-laws (who were more like siblings), Beverly, Bunny, James and Valerie and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the
family. Donations to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton NJ 08053 will be appreciated.
