Joseph Robert Goslin

Joseph Robert Goslin

Blue blood ran thru his veins: Bobby’s life centered on law enforcement. He started in 1964 in Swedesboro as a reserve officer and later went with Woolwich Twp Police. His later years found him as Chief of Police in South Harrison. Bobby was an old fashioned cop: there was never any need to profile, he knew every person in his communities. Bobby always had a second career: he drove a school bus, a farm truck and a dump truck and ran his own company, Goslin Industrial Cleaning Service for 25 years. Everyone knew he was standup and honest guy.

He is survived by wife, Eva S., three children, Andrew (Sandy), Linda (Keith) Rogers, and Terrence (Kim), one granddaughter, Courtney Rogers and his caregiver and companion, Barbara Murphy.

Come celebrate 75 great years Wednesday 9-11 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro, where there will be an 11 a.m. story time service. Tell a great story about Bobby at lifecelebrationstudio.com.

There never a day that passes, I do not think of the days working along side of Bob. He was always presence and in complete uniform. He was a good officer and person. there was never a time when I would ask for a favor, it was done. This is sad day. But I still have the memories.

I am so sad to know that Bob is gone. I will always be grateful to him for his assistance with the
passing of my daughter. We’d see each other occasionally. I worked near his house, and I’d go over to
eat my lunch and catch up with him. He was a leader and a wonderful friend. I will miss him greatly.

  5. Karen Rothwein Watson says:

Bob was a special kind of man. He was kind, considerate, and always had something nice to say. I worked with Bob from 1981 as a dispatcher with Mantua, when Woolwich worked the 24 hour schedule, (remember those 2 am phone calls, Eva?), later when he moved to South Harrison, and when I moved to county communications in 2000, until his retirement. It was a great experience and education to work with Bob and to know him. I’m so sorry that Bob is gone, but I am so thankful to have had the gift of Bob in my life. My prayers are with the family at this time.

After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring; after the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease, after life’s cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace. Until we meet again Bob…

One thing that everyone could say about Bob Goslin was that he was a true “Gentleman”.
Worked with Bob when he was South Harrison’s Chief, at Woolwich Twp. & Swedesboro.
I have many memories of his kindness. He will be missed, not only in the police world,
but as a friend. God Bless.
