Helen may have been a small lady but she was a giant in her faith. She passed her faith on to her children, nieces and nephews and just about anyone who would listen to the good news. Her smile was a constant and she had a can do attitude. Helen was employed as a seamstress at a Swedesboro dress factory. If something could be made out of material, you can be certain Helen made it: wedding gowns, dresses for the bridal parties, christening gowns, her daughters’ school clothes, curtains, slip covers, Nehru jackets. And, of course, Helen never needed a pattern, just her imagination. At the same time she held a job at Durkee Foods making pastry and Danish dough.
She was the wife of the late Lynn, and mother of Jeffrey (Darlene), Janet English (Louis) and Mark. She was predeceased by two children, Lynn 3rd and Marcia. She is survived by a sister, Ella Mae Buechler, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grand children.
Come celebrate 87 faith filled years Thursday, August 18 from 9:30 am at Daley Life Celebration Studio where there will be a service at 11am. Burial Eglington Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Bethesda UM Church Memorial Fund, 1435 Kings Hwy., Swedesboro 08085.

I was truly blessed growing up knowing “Mom” Gage. She was like a mother to me and many others. She was always kind to the boys of Franklin Street and treated all of us as if we were her sons. Her wisdom and advice was always welcome. And we boys always needed it. A wonderful lady who will be terribly missed. God bless Mom Gage. God bless the Gage family. Love, Dale
