Anita Frances Fariello, née Brugnoli, 75, of Goose Creek, SC, passed peacefully in her sleep after a short battle with cancer. Anita was born on November 9, 1942 in the Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Romolo and Maria (Manzi) Brugnoli and loving wife of Nicholas A. Fariello. A graduate of St. Barnabas High School in the Bronx, Anita enjoyed serving as secretary of the yearbook, volunteering for the Red Cross and helping to care for her younger siblings. Throughout her lifetime, Anita excelled at many jobs including employment at Equitable Life, Snelling and Snelling and Certainteed Corporation. After moving to South Carolina, her successful employment included positions at Advanced Flexible Systems and David Joseph Company. In her most recent years, Anita enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, her dear friends from the Princesses of the Pines/Red Hats Society and most importantly her loving and and devoted husband of 38 years. Anita and Nick enjoyed touring Charleston, visiting historical locations and sampling new restaurants. Anita’s most treasured time was time spent with family. Whether it be a family event, visit, outing, phone call or text she was always generous with her hugs, kisses and love. Although there was geographical distance between family, Anita’s “gift of gab” kept her close and in touch with those far away. Anita is survived by her beloved husband Nicholas A. Fariello, her children John Miller (Melo), Melissa Mallozzi (Stephen), her grandchildren Arlo Miller, Evelyn Miller, Christina Mallozzi, Stephen J. Mallozzi and Michael Mallozzi, her siblings Elena Grefe (William) and George Brugnoli, her nieces Christina Gjodesen, Janet Beaton and Karen Jones, step-children Nicholas Fariello (Nancy), Jeanette Eigelsbach (Bob), step-granddaughter Nicole and great grandson Aiden.
