Harold was happiest behind the wheel of a tractor: he was a man of the soil, well known for his tomatoes and asparagus and his old fashioned yellow sweet potatoes. He was born and raised on his father’s farm; it’s there he’d raise his own family. He was only away from it for a couple years when called up by his uncle: he served in the Army in Japan. And he was also a man of faith; a fifty years member of Evangelical United Methodist Church. He picked up a few splits in the Swedesboro Bowling League.
Harold was the much loved father of Ann Nordaby (Bill) and Jane DiBella, doting grandfather of Laurie Spears (Kyle), Kyle Nordaby, Michael DiBella Jr. (Rosemary), Christopher Nordaby (Tiffany) and Sam DiBella and the best Grampie to Karly and Leah Spears, and Francesca DiBella. He is also survived by his dear friend, Kathryn Davison. Harold was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Thelma (nee Dupper), his parents, Joseph and Helen, a brother, Joe and sister, Ruth Carlson.
Come celebrate 92 great years Wednesday 4 to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio where the service will be at 11a.m. Burial will be in Eglington Cemetery.
Donations to Evangelical Memorial Fund, Angelic Hospice or UMC Pitman will be appreciated
