In Loving Memory of William North Hampton Sr.

William North Hampton Sr., age 85, of Mannington, NJ, passed away on December 3rd, 2023. He was born on January 14th, 1938, in Woodbury, NJ.
William was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marian Rose Hampton (nee Zappola), and is survived by his sons William Jr. (Toni), Terence (Erin), stepsons Jack and Frank Schoch, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A proud veteran, William served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963, stationed in Hawaii. He later worked for Hercules Inc. and BF Goodrich as a dedicated Quality Control Officer. Throughout his life, William was a committed member of the Wenonah Lions Club, exemplifying his dedication to community service.
Education and career aside, William had a zest for life and a love for various interests. An avid bicyclist, he found joy in the simple pleasure of the open road. His passion for cars, notably his 2006 Mustang GT convertible, spoke to his appreciation for fine craftsmanship and style. William had a keen interest in history and archaeology, always eager to delve into the past to better understand the present.
Beyond his hobbies, William was a caring soul, exemplified by his devotion to his Sulfur Crested Cockatoo, Lulu. Yet, more than anything else, he cherished the time spent with his family. His love, guidance, and unwavering support created a legacy of warmth and togetherness that will be fondly remembered.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, December 13th, from 9-11 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro, where a memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in memory of William North Hampton Sr.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created during a life well-lived.
