Tina Coia

Tina Jeanne Sutter Coia, 83, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024 surrounded by her family. She died as she lived, in a room with her loved ones filled with laughter. She was born on May 14, 1940 in Rural Valley, PA to the late Joseph and Alyce Sutter. Also predeceasing her were sister Donna Vindick and brother Joseph Lewis Sutter Jr.

Tina is survived by her children: Michele “Mickey” Coia-Veston (the late Victor), Robert L. Coia Jr. (Regina), Christina Seklecki (David), and Dawn Lepore (A.J.); grandchildren Teresa, Tina, the late Antonino, Joey, Ashley, Benjamin, Cassy, the late Alexis, and Alexander; great-grandchildren Gianna, Bryanca, Maurice, Kenneth, Amaya, Carmine, Valentino, Cody, Mason, Jackson, and Peyton; great-great grandchild Seven; many extended relatives, and friends.

Tina was most known for her witty humor: she was sharp and quippy till the very end. Her unconditional devotion to her family was the major driving force in her life; a homemaker for many years. Tina was an incredibly stoic and strong woman who taught her loved ones by example to be loyal, kind, and fully yourself. She embraced people for who and what they were. Tina often brought the family together through her love of food- her dishes ranged from Polish, to Italian, to Americana cuisines. She was a devoted Catholic. After church you would find her sharing lunch with close friends. Loving to dance throughout her life, she won dance contests in her younger years while always supporting her friends and family. Tina spent the later portion of her life living with her children, allowing for her calm demeanor, compassion, and quick humor to be carried forth into the homes of her grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 17th, Visitation is 10am and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Church, 130 Broad Street, Swedesboro, NJ. Interment will commence immediately following the services at Eglington Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, 320 Kings Hwy, Clarksboro, NJ. Tina will be buried alongside her loving sister, Donna.

Chrissy and Mickey, I am so so sorry about your Mom’s passing. I spent a lot of time with you girls at 159 Millbrook when you lived in Willingboro. Your Mom was always so welcoming and kind. We have lots of good memories. I’m grateful that Facebook helped us all to reconnect. Sending you all much love, ((hugs)), comfort and prayer during this sad and difficult time. xoxo
