Robert Wayne McGill

Robert Wayne McGill

Bob saw most of the world. He enlisted in the Air Force and travelled extensively; the fact that he was an interpreter in 6 languages kept him on the move. Even after his service was complete, he remained in the reserves for many years. He often joked that due to his service in the Air Force he could “eat anything, anywhere.” In his civilian life he continued to explore, many times just seeking the best places for some skiing. And if not entertaining himself on the slopes he could be found on the golf course. He worked for DuPont at the Chambers Works Facility for many years monitoring their computers and later as a refinery consultant. If his T.V was on he’d most likely be cheering for the Eagles and the Phils, though he may have yelled a little from time to time. Bob was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Shriners, Masons and the Scottish Rite and was a ’61 Paulsboro High School graduate.
Bob is survived by his step-sons, David (Susan) White and John White; siblings, Charles Keith, James (Shirley), Lawrence (Terri) and Cathy (Lewis) Vaugn. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Barbara, parents, Robert and Geneva and his step-mother, Ruth McGill.
Come celebrate 81 great years Saturday, August 17th, 11 a.m. at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Donations in lieu of flowers to Salem County Humane Society (salemcountyhumanesociety.org) or Repaupo UMC Food Pantry (c/o Larry McGill, 854 Willow Drive, Gibbstown NJ 08027) will be appreciated.
