Joyce Ann Cicik
Mother Teresa once said “if you can’t feed 100 people, just feed 1”. If Joyce only had a dollar, she’d find a way to give you two. She couldn’t pass a person in need without helping. From a person on the street in need of a meal, someone who couldn’t afford to pay for their prescription medication or a child separated from their parent, she was always there for someone in need. It was just second nature to her. A trip to the store was less about shopping, as it was a chance to meet new people. She’d think nothing of chatting for 45 minutes with someone she had just met. This may be why she enjoyed her 48 years with Acme Markets. Not only did she get to work with the public, but her summers overseeing stores at the shore enabled her to enjoy the sea breeze, seagulls (her favorites) and memories of family trips as a child to Margate. As good as she was to strangers she was even better to her family. Joyce was a doting grandmother and never missed a special event such as birthdays, baseball games, or dance recitals. Her cheering could usually be heard above everyone else in the stands. rnJoyce is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen Hendrick of Riverside, grandchildren Alan and Alyssa both of Riverside, sister Carol Winkelspecht of Delran, nieces Kim and Kristen Winklespecht of Delran and Katherine (Darrin) Turner and their children Jacob, Madison and Ryley of Springfield, IL.rnCome celebrate 67 giving years Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where the service will follow at 11. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.rn

I am so sorry to hear about Joyce’s passing. I know in my heart she is in heaven looking down at her family with a smile. She is know longer in any pain. I remember fondly of the days when Maryellen & I would spend time together at each others homes after school, roller skating & expecially Girl Scouts. Joyce was our troop leader & my mom was the Asst. Troop Leader. We all had great times together. Joyce will truly be missed, but she will always be in our hearts. Call Joyce!!!!!rnHow many times have i heard and said those words.Those words were said with confidence because you knew she would handle any situation.Joyce was always there to help any associate or peer that needed her help.She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.i just hope heaven has a good cup of coffee waiting for her.She deserves that.
It is with profound sorrow that I write this note. It was very evident over the years that I was blessed to know Joyce that she made a differance in the lives of all she touched. I am a better person both personally and professionally for having known her. Joyce will live on through all who knew her.
