There was nothing in the world more important to Laura than her family. When her children were young her home in Delanco became the center for every birthday or pool party, and no matter what was going on, it would be unheard of for her to miss a football, softball or soccer game. In her younger years her adventurous side always shined. She was always happy to hop on the back of her husband’s motorcycle, never strayed from a social gathering and when he was stationed in Germany she took it upon herself to join him, even if that meant traveling on a ship by herself. In her later years she could often be found relaxing, enjoying some fishing.rnAlthough her first date with a young man named Louis Berger, Jr. ended with a car accident, it wasn’t enough to sour the relationship. Within a few years they were married, and their lives were blessed by their children Louis III, Leonard and Larry, their 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 brothers and her step-sister.rnCome celebrate 74 great years Thursday 6:30-8:30 and Friday from 10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where the service will follow at 11.
