Adele “Dolly” Nociti
Dolly’s generous spirit was always apparent. Her focus was never on herself; rather it was on those around her. Even when she fell ill, she was still calling the neighbor to see if there was anything she could do. Always gifted with a needle and thread, she made Military Field Jackets during War Time and continued sewing as a hobby throughout her life. Also during her earlier years she enjoyed social events at the Moose Lodge and Knights of Columbus with family and friends. For over 40 years, Dolly played pinochle with a special group of friends every month which was known as “The Card Club”. In her senior years she loved her bus trips to Atlantic City and her many morning visits to the Delran McDonalds where she met many friends.rnShortly after WWII a young serviceman named Joe was asked by a friend to go on a blind date. As fate would have it, this brought Dolly and Joe together. Their 65 years together were blessed by their children: Tim (Pam) of Edgewater Park and Joanne Hendrick (Jim) of Delanco, their grandchildren: Melanie Bensing (Brian), Kelly and Kevin Hendrick and their great-grandson Brian.rn Come celebrate Dolly’s 89 wonderful years (May 29, 1922-Feb. 15, 2012) Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 9-10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church (St. Peter’s Site), Riverside. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.rn

Joanne, Tim and family I am so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Jo if you are saying to yourself right now what more could I have done..stop it ..you were a great daughter..Tuesdays With Dolly..doing her hair..patiently doing the check book ..explaining things over and over until you almost went buggy..you were the best daughter ever and Dolly knew it and knows it now…she will be the angel looking after all of you now..and maybe “Bernice” “Bunny” Daley and “Adele” “Dolly” Nociti will be the angel patrol looking after our kids! And grandkids when you have them. No one had a better daughter Joanne and your mom knows it.
Uncle joe, joanne, tim and family, sorry to hear about aunt dells passing. i have fond memories of her and your family growing up. cousin frannie and i tried several times to catch up with her and uncle joe but due to our work schedules we were unsuccessful.
