From the time she was a child family was always central to Bobbie. The youngest of the Barber’s five children, her siblings always said she was Mom’s favorite, and they would joke that she was a little spoiled. But that trait led her to have a need to be with her clan. Family picnics, reunions, and even canoeing and kayaking were special events to her.rnrnBobbie never let epilepsy keep her from being active. More than just a charter member of Grace Baptist Fellowship Church in Beckett, she was involved with just about everything there: she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and every Mother’s Day read a poem written by her grandmother.rnrn rnrnHer survivors include a daughter, Debra and her husband, Stephen Scott, Siblings: Mary Mathias, Leon Barber, Jr., Elaine Matteo, Richard Barber, Sr., Aunts: Betty Beal and Gladys Leap and an Uncle Edward Barber and her companion Risk the cat.rnrnCome celebrate 63 great years Friday, June 18 from 9am to 11am at Grace Baptist Fellowship Church, 351 Beckett Rd., Logan Twp., NJ 08085 where the service will be at 11am.
