Shropshire operated her Bookstore on Scott St in Riverside, NJ for over 40 years.rnrnBarbara was a decorated WWII Veteran and met her husband, Harvey C. Shropshire, Jr, also a Decorated WWII Vet in 1945 in NYC when he returned from Stalag 7A. They fell so in love that ten days later they were married and in 1993 when Harvey passed away, Barbara always considered herself married to Harvey. Death did not part them.rnrnCome celebrate the inspired life of this remarkable woman Friday 6p-8p and Saturday from 9:30a, with the service at 10:30am at The Sweeney Funeral Home, Bridgeboro St, Riverside, NJ. Shropshire wounded Veteran receiving treatment at Station Hospital where he met Barbara in the PX in the hospital… I have a great newspaper clipping with them together from our family photo collection that belongs her descendants.
