Carole Anne Brown

Carole Anne Brown

She had creativity to spare. If Carole was younger, she’d have won ‘Project Runway‘: given bolt of cloth, she would perform magic.rnCarole was a Woodbury girl transplanted to Woodstown. She graduated from Woodbury High and went on to Drexel University where she studied Textile Engineering. Wanting to stay close to home, Carole settled into teaching Home Economics at Paulsboro High. Students benefited from her creativity and learned ways to care for their future homes. While at Drexel Carole, a member of the Varsity Singers, toured Europe. They performed for nobility in several nations and she kissed the Blarney Stone. rnCrohn’s Disease put a stop to roller skating and riding roller coasters, but Carole fought the illness and became a medical pioneer living many years beyond Doctor’s predictions- it was sheer determination on her part.rnShe is survived by son, George and his wife Janet and their four children.rnDress casually and come celebrate 73 creative years Thursday from 10:30 AM at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where Storytime will begin at 11AM. Burial Eglington Cemetery. rnrn

Your Mom was my Home Economics teacher at Paulsboro High School. What a wonderful, caring and inspirational teacher she was. I have great memories of her. She taught us we could do anything we put our minds to. I remember having a graduation party to go to and I wanted a new outfit to wear. I had my Father take me to the store early on a Saturday morning to buy material. That morning I made an outfit to wear to the party that was that same afternoon. I remember my parents being so proud and telling everyone, “You know, she just made that this morning.” I remember telling everyone that day what a wonderful teacher I had. She made a great impression on my life all those years ago. I am deeply saddened at Mrs. Brown’s passing. My thoughts, sympathies and prayers go out to her family. Remember the beautiful, because she certainly was that….inside AND out.<3
