Melinda “Mindy” Cameli

Melinda “Mindy” Cameli

She was known and loved by hundreds of people and showed everyone the importance of true friendship. Mindy was a loving and caring friend, especially in the animal rescue community. Her Elk Township farm was home to many animals including dogs and cats, goats, lambs, sheep and even a pig. Mindy was that friend you could always count on: call her on a 90 degree day for help outside; whether it would be taking care of your animals or cutting down trees, she would be there. She would jump out of whatever truck she would be driving with a wawa cup of coffee in her hand and a smile on her face. She was hands-on in most of her endeavors: she drove an oil truck, hauled fruits and vegetables in a white dump truck or her landmark black and white police car. Mindy loved to drive a rollback tow truck, hauling vehicles or equipment in front of her house, which she always did with the Love of her life, Fuzzy (Rowland). She worked 5 jobs to support and care for every animal that she came across and also acted as their spokesperson. Nearly everyday found her wandering off to Pine Tavern Road to check out the eagles. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Broemmer and many friends including Mike and Donna Kavlunas, Brad and Carey Johnson and Geri Castano.

Come celebrate 59 great years Wednesday February 19, 4 to 6 p.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio. Swedesboro where there will be a 6 p.m. service.
