He was a character who always had a line and enjoyed a little banter. Daryl never shed his Boston roots; he loved the run the city’s teams are having. He bowled for many years and later took up golf. Problem was his golf score matched his bowling score. If he couldn’t remember a guy’s name he’d call him Tiger. Girls he’d call sweetheart: Daryl had enough charm to pull it off. If his TV was on he was probably watching John Wayne or the stock ticker.
Daryl was the husband of the late Rita Palladino, who he cared for until her death, father of Daryl Jr. (Patti), Robert (Susan), and beloved daughter, Diane (Tim) Carpenter who he resided with for several years, grandfather of, Daryl III, Christine, Megan, Kaylee, Alyssa and Ethan. He is survived by his sister, Lou Gobin of Attleboro Mass. and many nieces and nephews
He graduated from Attleboro High School in 1947. He spent three years in the Coast Guard where he took pride in the fact that he learned much about radar. He attended Northeastern University and was employed by Raytheon, servicing radar systems globally and at RCA as a communications specialist selling radar systems to the government. He ended his career at GE.
