For Edward family always came first. From the time he was a child he was a great brother and always devoted to his parents. As a father he always spent time with his kids, playfully tossing them into his pool, and playing sports. He would turn a trip to get a Slurpy into a 10 mile sight seeing tour and he’d gladly help them with their homework as long as it was history. His most recent obsession was his grandkids (8 mos. and 3 weeks old). If he didn’t have them within a couple of feet of himself, he’d be looking at pictures of Colin on the computer or anticipating the birth of Samuel. Some said he discussed politics, others said he screamed and he was known for his drive by commentary during Eagles games. He wasn’t much of an adventurous eater but believed there was always room for ice cream, tastykakes, and L&M Boston Cream Doughnuts. He retired from Verizon after 33 years of service. Edward proudly served his nation in the Army, stationed in Germany.rnHe met a girl from Liverpool who was on vacation in the U.S. From the moment they met, Doreen and Edward were inseparable. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Sarah, Emma (Victor), Laura Sada (Todd), and Matthew; and two grandchildren: Colin Sada and Samuel Huerta. He is survived by his sister, Carol Hull and many nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by his parents Betty and Joe and his brother Joseph Jr. (Karen).rnCome celebrate 59 family centered years Friday 7-9 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside and Saturday 10:00 to 10:45 at Asbury United Methodist Church, Cinnaminson where there will be a service at 11:00. Donations in lieu of flowers to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053-3101 will be appreciated.
