Next to the dictionary definition of ladylike could be the name Evelyn Dunn. Her main motivations in life were for the care of late husband, Bob, and her devotion to Trinity Old Swedes Episcopal Church. Bob was given the attention she considered he deserved as a wonderful husband. And never was there a need at her church that Evelyn didn’t respond to with her best effort. The training she obtained at Strayer Business School opened the door to a career at Swedesboro High School. She started in 1951 as the secretary to the Superintendent. In 1984 she retired as the Board of Education Secretary.rnShe was the wife of the late Robert and is survived by a cousin, Dorothy Addis and godchildren: William Addis, Barbara Addis-Kelly and Patricia Addis Hudson, and four nieces.rnCome celebrate 91 Ladylike years Saturday at Daley Life Celebration Studio. Burial Trinity Cemetery. Donations to Trinity Old Swedes Foundation, P.O. Box 51, Swedesboro will be appreciated.

Evelyn and Bob were close and dear friends from the time Mary Ann and I were married in 1951. We frequently worked closely along with them on community activities and together for a few vacations. Along with about eight other couples we frequently enjoyed partying together (and boy did we have parties!)We know everyone who knew her will miss Evelyn’s good nature and her dedication to her church. Fondly. Mike & Mary Ann
