Joan probably would have agreed with Charles Lindberg that “If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than planes”. From her kitchen view of Swedes Lake she loved to watch the wildlife, and could identify just about every bird that crossed her way. In her younger years she spent many summers at Stone Harbor. Anyone who had a conversation with Joan would certainly notice that she didn’t mince words, her statements were always honest. And seldom found without her book of prayers, her devotion to the church was always steadfast.rnJoan is survived by her cousin Jerry (Helen) Keimer of Philadelphia.
