Joseph A. DiMatteo Jr

Joseph A DiMatteo Jr, loving husband of Marianne (Staats) DiMatteo of Woolwich Township, NJ, and son of the late Joseph A DiMatteo Sr and the late Joyce A DiMatteo, both of Malaga, NJ passed away on May 3, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on May 21, 1962 in Vineland, NJ. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Womack of Houston, TX, his sister, Rita Myers (Robert) of Franklinville, NJ, and brothers Carmen DiMatteo (Lisa) of Hohenwald, TN and Steven (Peg) DiMatteo of Pittsgrove, NJ; nephews Justin Myers (Kristin), Nicholas DiMatteo, and Tyler DiMatteo; nieces Angelica DiMatteo and Alyssa DiMatteo. He was predeceased by nephew Joseph A DiMatteo. He is also survived by his furry friend, Colby.

Joe worked for several years for H&R Block as a Tax Research and Training Specialist. He was most recently employed by Delsea Regional High School as a bus driver/attendant, retiring in 2016.

Joe enjoyed The Rocky Horror Picture Show so much that he and a group of close friends created a performance group called The Transducer Players in 1980. He maintained friendships with many of the cast members throughout the years. Joe had an affinity for old time game shows, sitcoms, and movies. He took pleasure in showcasing his cooking skills for family and friends.

Come celebrate 61 great years Thursday May 30, 5 to 7 p.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio Swedesboro where there will be a 7 p.m. service. Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation at www.michaeljfox.org
