Joyce never stopped cleaning. If you set down a cup of coffee for more than a minute, it would quickly disappear and reappear washed and put away. Later years found her moving in with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a built-in babysitter making sure her grandkids were fed and buttoned up even years after it maybe wasn’t so necessary. She showed her love through her cooking: Joyce made everything delicious; healthy was an afterthought. If she got loose she’d head down to the Casinos to battle the slots. Something about her voice could soothe any baby and entertain any cat. Her mind was sharp; probably from solving crossword puzzles and Agatha Christie Mysteries.
Joyce was the wife of the late James and the mother of the late Kenneth and Sue (Mark) Ridgway-Ashmen; sister of Edward (Anita) DeLaney, Daniel DeLaney, Charles (Sarah) DeLaney, David (Donna) DeLaney, the late Theodore DeLaney, June Maley, Judith Rehrig, Barbara DeLaney and the late Florence DeLaney; proud Nannom to 2; Step-Nannom to 3.
