Ken was more than just a friend that could be counted; he was a friend that could be counted on. When push came to shove he would always be there for you. Regardless of the situation, he was always a people person and loved to socialize. Even in his 70s, he still took the time to install wireless internet in his home in Eastampton just so he could start emailing friends. His adventurous nature made sure his retirement days were not spent on the couch. Rather, he could be found taking his camper and exploring up into Newfoundland and even Alaska. When not experiencing the rugged forests of the north, he created his own happy little trees. Inspired by Bob Ross, Ken began oil painting while he was in his 60s.
Ken is survived by his children: CarolAnn Elsner of CA. and Michael (Kelly) of Philadelphia, his grandchildren: Madison and Nicholas Elsner and his sister, Barbara Sonnet (Frank) of Toms River.
Come celebrate Ken’s 73 wonderful years (Jan. 5, 1940-Mar. 16, 2013) Saturday at 11:30 AM at Monument Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
