Mario L. Clement Jr.

He was a prankster from the days of his youth. Mario was accepted and attended the prestigious Central High, but just couldn’t help himself. In cooking class, he put fireworks in the batter and faked injuries with ketchup earning a one-day suspension. Caddying at Overbrook was no different; he had a dozen exploding golf balls. Of course, he learned as much at Overbrook Country Club as he did in high school: he’d hitchhike to the course and figured out that if you were tipped a quarter, you could get more money by keeping your hand outstretched. He proudly served in the Army and later graduated from Penn State as an adult. He was a computer guru before that was even a thing; he worked for Trans Union before opening his own business, PC Help, offering computer services for small businesses. And he stayed active in his community, serving on many committees and running for mayor of Winslow Twp. He and his wife retired early, sold the house, bought an RV and went off to see the world. They travelled the whole U.S. with the exception of Oklahoma and Kansas. Winters found them in Key West at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park where they volunteered helping the other visitors: Mario called it Funemployment. When they ventured north, they could be found at Timberlane Campground in Clarksboro.

He’d meet a girl named Gail; she was smitten with his smile. The connection was immediate, and they shared a 35-year marriage. He is survived by his children: Linda Clement-Patterson (Jack), Joyce Clement, Steven Clement, Glenn Miller (Lisa) and Scott Miller (Linda); was fortunate to have 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; and is survived by his sister, Tecla Yannelli.
