She had a powerful ear: Melanie’s listening skills made her a great bartender at Buddy’s Tavern. She lived in Penns Grove and for several years in Woolwich Twp. while raising her three boys. When the bar closed she went to work at Cardinal Health in quality control but always missed the crowd at Buddy’s. She was all about the holidays: she’d dress up the house, wear costumes for Halloween and shower friends and family with Christmas gifts. When grandkids came along her generous nature really bloomed. She mailed her gifts cross country so the boys in California never missed out.
Melonie is survived by her three sons: Kim (Angie) Speakman, Buddy Thomas, and Eric (Sarah) Cline; two brothers, Thomas and David Dunn; a sister, Colleen Rappa; and grandsons, Dylan Durham and Bradyn Speakman.
Come celebrate 57 feisty years Thursday 6 to 8pm at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where the service will be at 8pm.
