He believed that he didnt need money to be rich, he felt he was the richest man in the world having his wife and two sons. His best times were spent with his kids. You could find Michael just about anywhere with his sons, Dylan and Michael Jr. at his side, especially the park and camping trips to Otter Lakes, Marshall Creek, PA. Though he had an Irish temper he was truly a big softie with a big heart. Besides family his other passion in life was his tree service.
Bridget had a crush on Mike for years before they took their friendship of 17 years to the next level which then bloomed into romance, fatherhood and marriage. He planned out a night to ask for her hand in marriage but got so excited that he popped the question while sitting in traffic at the Berlin Circle. For Bridget and Mike, every kiss was like the first time everytime. He is survived by his wife Bridget; sons, Dylan and Michael Jr.; his parents, Benjamin and Carolyn Lewis; his father predeceased, Michael Edward Sweeny; sisters, Colleen(Oscar) Sweeny, and Becky(Danny) Behrens, though they were more like his best friends than his sisters; his uncle, Chris (Marion) Colton; his aunt, Elizabeth Sapkowski; nephews, Michael Antonio and Timothy; nieces Kylie and Chloe; and many family and friends.
Please come celebrate 33 years of his life on Monday 9 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, Riverside. Interment St Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside. Donations to pay for services may be made through gofundme.com (Michael Sweeny).

Michael you are my cousin and my daughters godfather, there are so many things to say but I’ll just say I loved you my whole life and I will love you forever. I can’t believe your gone but you will remain in my heart forever.
Michael,
We weren’t close. I feel like I have seen you less times than I have fingers. Every memory I have of you is fond. I wish we could have had more time together. I wish we could have gotten to know each other. I love you cuz. We all want you here with us, but I suppose it’s your dad’s turn to have time with you. I know from up there, you will be watching and protecting your wife, your kids, your sisters and the rest of your family. We will all keep you alive in memory and you will live in our hearts forever. I love you, cuz. Rest in Perfect Paradise ♥♥

It had been a minute since I saw you last but at least I got to hear your voice and tell you I loved you on our last phone call just a few weeks ago. You are a good friend and will never be forgotten! IN BUCK WE TRUST!! LOVE YOU MIKE R.I.P
