Murphy Foster McKeel passed peacefully in the arms of family on Valentines Day.rnHe was born January 18th and fought a hard battle for his short life. On February 14th he was christened and within hours he left his family on earth to join his Heavenly Father.rnMurphy is the son of Daniel “Caleb” and Erica (Dryden) McKeel. He is survived by his grandparents: Lee and Sherry McKeel, Don and Patty Dryden, and Alberta “Beppy” and John Sweeney, Great-Grandparents: Bill and Alberta “Beppy” Butterhof and Mildred Dail, eight aunts and uncles, three cousins and a very large extended family.rnMurphy’s family here on earth will miss him but rejoice that he is joining his grandmother, Deborah “Kaye” McKeel, Great-grandparents, Emily and Foster Dryden, Clarence Dail, and Daniel and Ella McKeel. rnMurphy inspired his family with his courage and fighting spirit. To honor him the family asks that any donations be made to Lindsey’s Place, a charity providing a camp experience for special needs children. Savannah, GA 31411. rnPlease join us in celebrating Murphy’s short life Friday Feb. 24th from 6-8 p.m. and Sat. Feb. 25th from 9 a.m.at Daley Life Celebration Studio Swedesboro, NJ where there will be a service at 10 a.m.. Burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery. A memorial service and tree planting is being planned for Burlington, NC and Richmond Hill, GA. rnWhile Murphy never left the Memorial Hospital NICU in Savannah, GA he still experienced great love and attention from not only his family but the nurses, doctors, and staff of the NICU who cared for him and his parents during his stay. Their care and kindness will not be forgotten
