She was the archetype of a nurse and a Swedesboro girl through and through. Nancy graduated Swedesboro High in 1946 and went on to attend Cooper Hospital School of Nursing where she found her true calling in administration: she was the assistant business editor of the yearbook and vice-president of her class. As an administrator at Greenbrier Nursing Home Nancy insured patient care by making sure that everything was efficient and orderly. She’d finish out her career at the New Jersey Department of Health, inspecting nursing homes; Nancy received many recognitions. Later years found her traveling with friends and tour groups to warmer climates.
She was pre-deceased by her parents J. Clark Gleeson and Mildred Madara and her brother J. Clark Gleeson Jr.; survivors include her niece, Eileen Gleeson and nephew, Brien and their children.
Come celebrate 85 great years Monday 6 to 7 p.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio, where there will be a service at 7. Interment private at Eglington Cemetery. Donations to Bethesda United Methodist Church, Bell Choir, 1433 Kings Highway, Swedesboro 08085 will be appreciated.

Nancy and my cousin, Bette Smith Nelson, were good friends. I remember her from when I was a little girl and visiting my Aunt Alice and Uncle Frank. Nancy and Clark were always around. My sympathy goes out to her niece and nephew.
