His Rode’s delivery route earned him more than a paycheck. As a favor to her father, he regularly gave Betty Monahon a ride home. Ralph not only became a husband on his wedding day, he also become a father, adopting her three daughters. He was always tinkering, building dollhouses and furniture, putting together jigsaw puzzles and model cars. When his car ashtray was dirty, it was time to call John Gaunt for another. Retirement found him moving to Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty, three daughters, Margie Sammons, Edna Hawk and Elizabeth Zubert, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

I can still remember the the day Mom got married and we had a Dad!! It was such a happy day for the three of us! Having had Dad for 59 years was a wonderful thing!! He kept our family together and he was so wonderful for Mom. It took Dad so long to say” I Love You ” but those words meant so much! I am the person I am today because of him. I thank him for all his wisdom and guidance and hope he can look down and be proud of me and my family. Thank you Dad and I will see you again! I Love you!
My hope is that the children find comfort in the pictures and memories Mr. Davidson leaves to cherish. Also, may you gain hope in Acts 24:15….”there is going to be a resurrection.”
