Robert Difilippo

Robert Difilippo

When his kids were growing up, Mr. D was definitely the cool dad in the neighborhood. If you came by his house in the summertime you’d probably find him camped out at his pool next to his grill. Food was always of utmost importance to him: he’d finish breakfast wondering what was for dinner. When the food hit the table he’d have all the excitement of a little kid on Christmas Morning. Seafood was always his favorite. There was never any question about the perfect gift for Bob, he had a lifelong absession with frogs.
He is survived by his sons, Mike (Heather) of Maple Shade and Robert (Donna) of Delanco; 5 grandchildren: Christian, Julie, Mikey, Calista and Owen, and his brother, Richard of Burlington.
Family will celebrate 68 great years at a private service under the direction of Sweeney Funeral Home.

Mr. D where do I start? He was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back. His home was always an open door policy. From going swimming, having parties, holiday dinners to even a roof over someones head. He had such a big heart and loved his family, and to Mr. D family wasn’t just blood. He loved us all as family and we loved him. There’s nothing he loved more then to be surrounded by his loved ones especially his grandkids. After Mr.D lost his legs his grandkids were what kept him going. I remember the day I went to visit him in the hospital after the first leg was removed and he said to me ” Tina what do I have to live for now that I can’t get around? “. I said Mr.D you have a wonderful family and grandkids to spend more time with and make many memories with. He said you’re right Tina and that’s what he did. We all have wonderful memories of Mr. D that will live on in our hearts forever. RIP Mr. D and my love and prayers to the whole family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the DiFilippo family. They are my family as well.
I liked Mr. D right from the start. He had a way of putting people at ease. He loved his life and showed. People were drawn to his carefree attitude. He enjoyed the simple things in life. Things people take for granted. Sitting down to good meal, watching sci fi movies on tv. He was big collector of alien and horror videos. He especially loved his dog Duke. Mr. D always treated him like family.
I could go on and on about him.
I love you Mr. D. You be remembered always. You’re name will live on through the wonderful family you created.
    Rest in peace my friend
