Bob officially began his career in construction when he graduated from Paulsboro High School. But he worked with his dad , Bob Sr. from an early age at their company, BRP Services in Bridgeport. He could repair any engine on cars, trucks or heavy equipment. Bob built his own home in Upper Pittsgrove. He laid the foundation and did all the electrical work. He could build or repair anything.
Bob was generous with everything : his time and talents. But not with his ’08 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra. That was his polished baby.
As a young boy he worked the Bridgeport Speedway track and that started his love affair with racing. He traveled to NASCAR events locally in Atco and also to Tennessee. Ford drivers were his favorites. Best not talk when the TV was tuned to the Sunday races.
He was lucky to meet Patricia Haughey through a mutual friend . They were married 18 years and enjoyed his daughter, Samantha Paz-Matthews and her daughter Jessica Brown,. He is also survived by sisters: Suzanne Ruiz, Luanne Fluke, and Christine Stetser, grand children Mason Matthews and Brianna Aponte.
Come celebrate 55 great years Tuesday from 5 to 7pm at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro with Storytime at 7pm. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, 11 am at Atlantic City Cemetery , Pleasantville, NJ.
