Veronica E. Dahlman

Veronica followed the teachings of Christ, “whatever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me”. If you were sick or in need she was the first by your side. With a sense of caring the likes of Florence Nightingale, she was there for her husband in his last days, looked after her sister when she grew ill and moved to Colorado to care for her daughter Janet when her health failed. But even if your needs were less serious she as always ready to lend a hand. She played chauffer for her friends whenever they needed a ride to the doctor. And in her spare time she always found a way to busy herself. Many a newborn was outfitted in clothes she had crocheted. She could often be found devouring a mystery novel, answering the Final Jeopardy question or solving a crossword puzzle. Perhaps that’s how she kept her mind so sharp. rnVeronica is the wife of the late Albert Dahlman, mother of Verna “Dolly” Coffey of FL, Barbara Dahlman, Harry (Sue), Donald (Kathy) and Donna Roleson (Jimmy) all of Edgewater Park, and the late Janet Parker. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and is the sister of the Benjamin Stoer (Loretta) of Riverside and Ralston Stoer of FL, and the late Alma Berger.rnCome celebrate 87 caring years Sunday 6-8 PM and Monday 9-10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Church, Riverside. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
