Victor lived his entire life in Delanco and was committed to his community: he was always involved and served two terms as the mayor. As a parent he might not have always agreed with his kids, but he went along with their decisions anyway. He coached them through baseball and later fell in love with soccer. He was a born salesman with a great sense of humor. It was a good day if he got at least one person to laugh. His skills came in handy at Birdsall engineering. Victor believed everything should be just so: his clothes hung in a specific way, Christmas lights in a certain order and he even expected cake placed on his plate faced in the “correct” direction. He golfed with the Wednesday Night Men’s Club and never missed a “meeting”. Although he was never able to watch the same channel for more than a few seconds he did enjoy wrestling, the Phils and the Eagles. Later years found him spending time with his granddaughter, even having his own “grandpop school.” When the work was done he’d gladly suffer through the same episodes of Tom and Jerry and Pokemon. rnA young Victor fell for his best friend’s younger sister, a girl named Colleen. Their 43 year marriage was blessed by three children: Stacey (Bruce) Powell, Mike (Jeannine), and the late Todd; and two grandchildren Makayla and Luke. He is also survived by his brother, David Keegan, of Woolwich Twp. rnCome celebrate 66 great years Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Beverly. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside. Donations to Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, 101 Middleton Street, Riverside NJ 08075 will be appreciated.rnrnrn
