William E. Hoff Jr.

William E. Hoff Jr.

He had two favorite teams, the Eagles and whoever was playing Dallas. Bill had the habit of always putting other people first. Even through his illnesses his thoughts were always with his friends and family. He worked for many years as a truck driver, a profession that his son, William, would follow him into. Animals loved him as much as he loved them. His dog, Jasmin, slept by his side and you’d hear his parrot, Maverick, calling out “Where’s daddy?” if he stepped out for more than a moment.
A young Pearl Mowery spotted the good looking Bill in a skating rink. Skating by him she “accidentally” fell into him. Actually her friend pushed her. In any case it was love at first sight. He was blessed by four children: Penny Gale, Brian Alberti, William Hoff and Lisa Ramirez and is survived by his mother, Vivian, siblings, Debbie and Richard Clark and 11 grandchildren. He was a terrific uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Come celebrate 57 great years Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 10-11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where there will be a service at 11. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
